Thread Lifts Destin

rejuvenate the volume &
texture of your skin.

At Destin Medical Spa, our focus is on offering non-invasive, safe, and quick skin rejuvenation and tightening treatments with pleasing results. PDO threads are one such reliable and painless treatment that gives you long-lasting skin tightening results.

PDO stands for polydioxanone, and the PDO threads are medical-grade threads made of proteins and are thinner than hair. PDO is FDA cleared and has been proven in clinical studies to relax muscles and tendons.

The insertion of threads results in a natural response that improves the flow of blood while stimulating the generation of skin health proteins such as collagen and elastin. PDO thread insertion also encourages the production of hyaluronic acid that is present in the dermal layers of the skin and helps maintain the volume and texture of the skin. Get the results you want with thread lifts Destin and Santa Rosa Beach clients love, here at Destin Medical Spa.

PDO thread procedure

Before the treatment, a local anesthetic and topical numbing agent is applied to the area that is going to be treated. Once the area is numbed, the doctor inserts the PDO threads using blunt tip needles or cannulas. Once inserted into the skin layers, the threads act as anchors while the skin is lifted upwards. The excess threads are removed.

Instead of removing loose skin, it is pulled up using the threads, and the doctor makes invisible subdermal stitches to anchor the lift. Specialized cosmetic threads are used that have “strategic split ends,” which help grab a tissue when they are pulled up. The suspension helps tighten up loose skin and brings about a restored appearance.

Expected results with the PDO Threads treatment

The PDO thread lifting technique immediately lifts your skin as the threads support the skin in the new position.

Within a week, you will be able to notice a natural appearance with tighter skin.

The rejuvenating effects are fully visible after a month or two when an enhanced skin texture, smoother and firmer skin is apparent. Based on your aesthetic goals and skin evaluation, Dr. Wiebe may focus on skin lifting or skin rejuvenation during your procedure.

It can take anywhere between six to nine months for the threads to dissolve after the treatment, while the excellent results can last up to 2 years. Dr. Wiebe designs a highly tailored treatment plan based on individual aesthetic goals and prescribes the number of treatment sessions required to achieve long-lasting results. Smooth threads need to be repeated every 6 weeks until the desired outcome has been achieved.

Before & After

VSOFT PDO Thread Lifts

Here at Destin Medical Spa, we primarily use Vsoft PDO Threads. This product sets our thread lifts apart from other thread lift procedures. The primary factor in this is the quality of the threads themselves. The threads are made of Polydioxanone (PDO), a biodegradable material making it safe, and with a long track record of being used in medical applications. Vsoft PDO threads are also known for having unique cogs and barbs which provide better anchoring and strong lift to the skin tissue. This results in much more effective, longer-lasting results.

Vsoft PDO Thread Lifts has an extensive range of thread sizes and types, allowing for a fully customized approach from client to client. As everyone’s needs our completely different, we are fully equipped with a wide variety of tools and products to suit your needs.
