Say goodbye to your acne worries

Acne occurs for a variety of reasons, from hormones to stress. In adults, acne is often the result of poor dermal hygiene. Dust, dirt, and oil can accumulate in the pores of your skin, and if uncleaned, can cause acne. If bacteria get trapped in the skin, you may have inflamed and pus-filled acne.

Acne can ruin the appearance of your skin, causing deep scars. They may affect your self-confidence and your personal life. In many cases, every time you touch your face, bacterial acne can spread from one part of the body to another. Acne removal is the ideal solution to avoid all these problems.

Dr. Amber Wiebe is a highly-qualified medspa specialist, with a Mastership from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She has worked with numerous men and women of all ages, helping them restore their skin to health and youthfulness.

The types of acne treatments we offer

At Destin Botox, Dr. Amber Wiebe uses a combination of acne removal treatments to offer you the most lasting results. We don’t believe in a one-solution-fits-all approach to dermal care and aesthetics. We do a comprehensive evaluation of your skin and your acne. Then we identify how best to treat them, leaving behind no scars. It is our mission to give you the best results with acne treatment Destin and Santa Rosa Beach can provide.

We provide the following treatments listed below for acne reduction and removal:

Oral or topical medication

Oral pills and topical creams and lotions can work wonders on your skin. Depending on your unique requirements and your medical history (allergies to any pharmaceutical drugs), we will prescribe Accutane® pills, oral vitamins (ex: Zinc), and antibiotic pills.

Topical medication containing benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, and in some cases, isotretinoin may be prescribed to treat severe acne. We also use antibiotic lotions to clear up the bacteria from your skin.

HydraFacial

HydraFacial is one of the gentlest and most soothing acne removal treatments we offer. This rejuvenating and healing facial will clear your skin of impurities and hydrate it.

The procedure starts with Dr. Amber Wiebe cleansing your skin using a gentle deplaning tool. You’ll hardly feel the tool gliding on your skin. Next, a combination of salicylic and glycolic chemical peels is applied to your skin.

These peels are derived from fruit and are perfect for sensitive skin. We leave the peel on the skin for a few minutes and once it sets, we use an extraction nozzle to clean your face thoroughly. The nozzle uses vacuum to suck up all the impurities lodged in your skin, freeing your blocked pores.

Finally, we apply soothing antibiotic lotions, a nutrient-rich serum, and peptides to heal your skin and hydrate it.

BEFORE & AFTER GALLERY

Laser therapy

Laser light has a healing impact on the skin. Patients who have had severe acne cysts have found immense relief from laser light therapy.

At Destin Botox, we offer Photopneumatic therapy, which is a combination of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy and vacuum suction.

The IPL laser light is directed to your skin.

The heat produced by the light destroys the bacteria which causes acne. Even pockets of damaged hair follicles that have trapped the bacteria, oil, and dust are also dried-up using the laser heat.

IPL is also immensely helpful in reducing the appearance of acne scars. The heat reduces any uneven pigmentation, ensuring your acne scar doesn’t stand out. You don’t have to worry about any burns with the IPL, as the wavelengths used are very soft on the skin. Once the IPL therapy is complete, we use a gentle vacuum to suction out all the debris from your skin. Soon, you’ll notice a dramatic improvement in the tone and texture of your skin, plus a significant reduction in acne.

Chemical peels

While strong chemical peels aren’t right to treat acne, mild chemical peels can provide you with the relief you seek. Apart from salicylic acid and glycolic acid, peels that contain trichloroacetic acid or alpha-hydroxy acid are extremely effective on severe acne.

These chemical peels eliminate the bacteria in your pores, and they peel away the old, dead skin cells containing dirt and oil. Once the treatment is complete, you’ll be left with flawless, fresh, and supple skin.

How soon will you see the results?

The effects of the above acne treatment options depend on a variety of factors, such as your skin type, the nature and severity of your acne, the number of sessions Dr. Amber Wiebe prescribes, and the dermal care practices you follow at home.

Typically, you should start to notice a reduction of acne on your skin within 7 to 10 days, but a significant difference will be observed only a few weeks later. The frequency of recurrence of acne breakouts will also reduce. Your scars will also take some time to vanish, but they will.
